The Role

A high-growth, technology-driven trading firm is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to own the design, development and delivery of their client-facing platforms. You will partner closely with Product, Client Services, Legal and Compliance teams while working with engineers across multiple domains.

You will oversee a portfolio of internal and external systems used across the organisation, with responsibilities including:

• Engineering leadership for internal CRM tools governing client processes.
• Architecture and delivery of internal reporting systems used by senior leadership.
• Counterparty and client data integrations, including near-real-time reporting via APIs.
• Development of a client-facing self-service web portal.
• Ownership of compliance-related platforms such as surveillance, monitoring and verification tools.

This is a hybrid role combining technical leadership, roadmap ownership, delivery management and people development. Your work will directly support the firm’s client relationships and operational resilience in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.

Key Skills and Experience Required

• Proven background as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or Senior Engineer in a complex domain (financial services, trading, fintech).
• Experience building and scaling full-stack systems, distributed platforms, or API-driven architectures.
• Strong ability to design, integrate and maintain complex end-to-end workflows with high standards for data integrity and operational safety.
• Confident stakeholder manager who can translate business needs into clear technical plans.
• Familiarity with regulated environments and understanding of security, data protection and compliance requirements.
• A proactive mindset, comfortable identifying new opportunities and shaping technical direction.
• Typically 10+ years of relevant engineering experience (flexible depending on background).
