Job Description

This is a senior, hands-on IT engineering role within a lean enterprise technology function supporting a technically sophisticated organisation, one of the leaders in global digital assets trading. The role blends project-based work with day-to-day operational ownership, with a clear focus on building robust, scalable, and secure internal systems rather than reactive support.

You will take ownership of identity and access management, SaaS tooling and device management, while also acting as a trusted technical partner to teams across engineering, trading and operations. The environment values pragmatism, autonomy and sound technical judgement, with an expectation that problems are solved at root cause and documented clearly.

This is an on-site role based in London. Occasional travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues across SaaS platforms and identity systems
  • Own identity and access management workflows, including authentication and provisioning
  • Manage and troubleshoot device management and endpoint security configurations
  • Provide hands-on deskside and remote support when required
  • Own the IT hardware lifecycle, including procurement, inventory and onboarding
  • Identify recurring problems and implement automation to eliminate them
  • Evaluate security implications of technical decisions across the organisation
  • Produce clear, practical technical documentation

Key Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience supporting technical teams in a senior IT or enterprise technology role
  • Strong working knowledge of core networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPNs)
  • Hands-on experience with scripting for automation (Python, Bash, or similar)
  • Experience working in environments handling sensitive or regulated data
  • Familiarity with operating within compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001

Desirable experience includes:

  • Identity and access management (SAML, SCIM, OIDC)
  • SaaS-first environments (e.g. Google Workspace, modern collaboration tools)
  • macOS and/or Linux support at scale
  • Configuration management or infrastructure-as-code workflows
  • Deep experience with MDM platforms and endpoint security policies

Why This Role

  • High level of autonomy and ownership
  • Exposure to technically demanding internal stakeholders
  • Opportunity to shape systems and processes rather than inherit rigid structures
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • A collaborative, meritocratic culture where good judgement is valued
